Like many others during lockdown, a small group of my friends became interested in investing in the stock market. Over time the group email thread became unmanageable, so I built this dashboard. It allows users to add stock symbols, explain why it would be worth investing in, facilitates discussions and tracks the prices over time. Email notifications can be enabled to allow users to know exactly when new stocks are added. The data is stored on the backend via a MongoDb cloud cluster, but realtime stock data is also pulled via the IEX Cloud API. This was also my first time utilizing the Bulma CSS framework as well as hosting the app within a Digital Ocean Droplet.
